The dance festival in Basel, held during the Art Basel week, is a celebration of the art of dance and the creativity of young choreographers. In partnership with Foyer Public, Theater Basel, the festival presents a diverse lineup of performances, featuring talented choreographers at different stages of their careers. This year we also have an open community dance class with live music. With free admission to the Basel public, this festival provides an opportunity to witness the evolution of dance and discover emerging artists in the field.
Dance Basel is an inclusive festival is dedicated to establishing a high-quality platform, including minority choreographers, from a range of different social and ethnic backgrounds and of different genders and sexual orientations.

Community Dance Workshop

Join us for an afternoon of movement with Armando Braswell at the Dance Basel Festival. Presenting a challenging but fun contemporary dance class with live music. The class is open to everyone and all ages and body types are welcome!

The application process is open for the Dance Basel Festival in Basel, Switzerland. Choreographers and dance artists under 39 years old world-wide are encouraged to apply.
