Why Dance Basel?
Dance Basel was created to connect local and international artists through meaningful artistic exchange.
Originally conceived as a festival during Art Basel week, the project has evolved into a sustainable summer platform focused on what matters most: exceptional teaching, artistic collaboration, and community.
Our goal is simple: bring outstanding artists to Basel and make their knowledge accessible to dancers throughout the region.
Creation Lab
Alongside the summer intensive, selected dancers may participate in the Dance Basel Creation Lab.
Participants work directly with guest choreographers over a two-week creative process, developing original material that culminates in a public performance.
Participation is by video audition only.
Ideal for dancers interested in creation, collaboration, and expanding their artistic practice.
Apply by sending cv and links of your work to admin@braswellarts.org
